Enchanted Polish Fun Dip + Stamping

Hi Everyone!

I'm sorry I've been neglecting my Blog, but I promise I haven't been neglecting my nails!  Today I'm showing you a mani I did a while ago after the holo water marble extravaganza.  I was so disappointed that Enchanted Polish's Fun Dip didn't show any purple when I marbled it, so I decided to use it on its own and show its true beauty.

Fun Dip is a great Lilac holo that is SUPER sparkly!! In some lights it leans more silver, and sometimes the purple shines through.  Unlike some other holos I've used, which tend to look dull in low light, Fun Dip was quite glittery inside and in low light, and then just exploded in holo-y goodness in sunlight and camera flash! Love!!

And since I've finally gotten the hand of stamping (mostly), I used my handy dandy Konad plate M57 from the previous post to stamp some zebra stripes with Wet N' Wild Black Creme.  Then I finished with China Glaze No Chip Topcoat for some fabulous shine and a long lasting mani.

As always, Fun Dip went on super smooth, I only needed two coats for fabulousness.  You can buy Enchanted polish from Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop/EnchantedPolish and now also at Llarowe http://shop.llarowe.com/Enchanted-Polish_c35.htm Exciting!!  And you can also Like Enchanted Polish on Facebook for more frequent updates http://www.facebook.com/EnchantedPolishPage

Dollish Polish Master Chief

Today I have something special to show you! I think I have finally gotten the hang of full nail stamping and I used it with Dollish Polish's Master Chief (inspired by Halo) to make this really great mani!

Starting off is a fabulous swatch or Master Chief all by itself.  It's a beautiful army green with a scattered holo.   It started out a bit sheer but built nicely.  I used three coats below.

Now, to be perfectly honest, manicure ideas don't really turn out as well in real life as they do in my head, but this was really an exception!  It came out soooooo nice!!!!  I used the fishnet pattern from Konad plate M57 and stamped all of my fingers with Wet 'N Wild Wild Shine Black.

My thumb nails were kind of long, so the stamp didn't go all the way to the tips, but that didn't matter for this mani because I planned on having black tips.  I used striping tape and China Glaze Liquid Leather to create the tips.  Ta-Da!!!

I absolutely LOVED this mani! I was so sad when it started chipping off :(  One of my boyfriend's friend said it looked like a grenade, which considering the name of the polish, is awesome! I'd say this was a success all around!

Enchanted Polish Water Marble

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been bad.  But I've also been on an indie polish kick.  I'm loving my Enchanted Polishes as well as the ones from Dollish Polish, so I ordered some more from Enchanted, as well as from a couple brands new to me.  I will start swatching as soon as I get them, promise!!

I was so excited about the holos from Enchanted, that I decided to do a holo water marble!  Fun right?  I'm still not the best at water marbling, but I've gone from a disaster to presentable, so that's an improvement!

I Started out with a white base (China Glaze White on White) and used Enchanted Polish Sugar Spree, Fun Dip, and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.  It worked out pretty well, but I was super disappointed that Fun Dip didn't show up as lavender, so there is a lot of white space from both Fun Dip and Lucy. I have pictures of both hands so you can see all of the different marble designs.

My Favorite one is the ring finger on this hand

I also decided to use these cute little star rhinestones I got from Ebay.  I will post where to get them in next post.  They took a little getting used to on your fingers, as they are much bigger and pointy-er than normal rhinestones.  But all around very cute!  And I even managed to get some pictures outside to help the holo effect!

These polishes spread very well in the water and ended up making a very pretty, holo, eye-catching water marble.  In low light Sugar Spree looks a little more red, so I got a few comments on how they looked like candy canes.  Oops!  But It still looked nice, which is all that matters!

Dollish Polish Hylian Princess

Hello!  Today I wanted to show you a swatch of one of Dolly's newest polishes I was able to snag during her last restock.  Her shop has moved from Etsy to http://dollishpolish.bigcartel.com/ but she is currently closed.  yo can check her facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/Dollface22772 for updates and such.

So anyway, I was very excited to use the Legend of Zelda Polishes, and I started out with Hylian Princess.  I wanted to wear Hylian Princess by itself, as Dolly states the polish "can also be worn as a top coat, or built into a stand alone opaque shade." , but I wasn't happy with the results I was getting, so I layered 2 coats of Hylian Princess over 1 coat of A England Avalon

On a side note, this was the first time I had used an A England color, and I was impressed! It went on super smooth and had a very rich color - opaque in 1 coat!!

Now on to the layering.  I had a little bit of trouble with Hylian Princess, as I am not used to such chunky glitters, so the application took a little getting used to.  After a while I got a hang of it and I was pretty happy with the results.  The only minor snag was that Avalon ended up being and exact match to one of the shades of glitter.  haha.

Overall, I loved this polish.  It was a glitter bomb on my nails and everyone, I mean EVERYONE was complimenting me on it at work, both coworkers and patients!  The mix of glitter in this one is so complex, I spent an embarrassing amount of time studying my nails and the bottle to get all the glitters accounted for.  I even swiped some on a plain white surface to try and help.

So here goes, i think this is all the types of glitter crammed in that little bottle:

Large holographic hex
Medium white hex
Small royal purple hex (the color matching Avalon)
Small dark purple hex (sometimes leaning blue)
Small gold hex
Small gold square
Smaller royal purple hex
Smaller lavender hex
Smaller lavender square
Tiny dark purple round

...Phew! Quite a list! Nice going Dolly ;)  My favorite was the large holo glitter.  I didn't even notice it in the bottle and was pleasantly surprised when I found one on my nail.  They are really eye-catching since they are the biggest glitter and catch the light

Funny story, by the way, I had some nice Macro bottle shots and Macro that showed off the holo glitter, but somewhere between my camera and computer they got lost. Oopsie, don't know how that happened.  Now that my blonde moment of the week is over, lets hope it doesn't happen again!
